Quick take
Convertible fleece gloves with 3-finger cuts and magnetic closures, allowing you to adapt warmth to changing conditions while keeping hands ready for fishing.
These Palmyth gloves are made of fleece and convert between full coverage and three exposed fingertips, with a magnetic closure for the flip-back covers. The open fingers help with tying knots, handling small tackle or working a camera on a cold morning. They suit ice fishing and other chilly-weather outings, and they come as a pair for adults.
Best for
- Ice fishing during cold weather
- Conditions where you need convertibility
- Photographers and others needing exposed fingers
Skip if
- You fish mild conditions
- You want full-finger warmth
Strengths
- Magnetic closures allow quick conversion between open and closed fingers
- Fleece insulation keeps hands warm without bulk
- 3-cut design exposes the most-used fingers
Trade-offs
- Magnetic design is less intuitive than standard convertible mitts
- Fleece absorbs water unlike neoprene
- Not suitable for submersion or prolonged water contact
