Quick take
Neoprene gloves with flip-back thumb and fingers, touchscreen capability and fleece lining for cool weather fishing.
These Palmyth gloves are neoprene with a fleece-backed hand, made for anglers who fish in cool, damp weather. The thumb, index and middle fingertips flip back on hook-and-loop caps, so you can tie knots, work a phone or handle a camera without taking the gloves off. This is the black, large size with an adjustable wrist strap and a snug elastic cuff.
Best for
- Cold water and cool day fishing where you need finger dexterity
- Fishing with a smartphone or camera
- Fly tying and knot tying in cold weather
Skip if
- You fish in warm water; the insulation will be too much
- You need extreme cold protection; these are good for cool days only
Strengths
- Flip-back fingers convert to full-finger gloves instantly for gear manipulation
- Touchscreen leather on index finger tip works with all devices
- Fleece lining and artificial leather palm provide warmth and grip
Trade-offs
- Neoprene stretches over time and may lose fit
- Not suitable for extreme cold; best for cool to moderate temperatures
- The hook-and-loop wrist strap may wear with frequent use

- Freshwater
- Saltwater
