Quick take
Clear PVC pouches with velcro closure that protect hooks and prevent lures from tangling in storage.
This set of 12 clear PVC lure wraps comes as six large and six medium covers that close with hook-and-loop straps. The see-through window lets you spot which lure is on each rod, and the wrap keeps sharp hooks away from hands, gear and carpeting. It suits crankbaits, jerkbaits, jigs, spinnerbaits and spoons when rods ride on the deck or in a rod locker.
Best for
- Protecting sharp hooks from snags and skin
- Keeping lures organized on rod decks
- Storing crankbaits, jigs and spinnerbaits
Skip if
- You use hard tackle boxes where each lure has its own slot
- You prefer open storage for quick lure selection
Strengths
- Clear plastic lets you see your lure inside
- Velcro closure is secure and reusable
- Puncture-resistant material protects both lures and gear
Trade-offs
- Adds weight to tackle when multiple wraps are used
- Velcro loses grip over many open-close cycles
- Size options may not fit every lure perfectly
