Quick take
Balanced six-piece kit with line spooler for reel maintenance, cutting and processing tools, and fish gripper.
This six-piece kit packs a line spooler, stainless steel pliers, a fillet knife, braid scissors, an aluminum fish gripper and a detachable lanyard into one set. The spooler has a stepless tension knob and a one-click lock for respooling spinning and baitcasting reels, and the gripper includes a built-in scale. It suits anglers who want the basic rigging, cutting and fish-handling tools together for boat, pier, kayak or bank trips.
Best for
- Anglers who maintain and respool their own reels
- Processing catches at the water
- Those needing all-around fishing tools
Skip if
- You don't respool reels yourself
- You prefer separate specialized tools
Strengths
- Portable line spooler with tension control reduces line twist during respooling
- Tungsten carbide cutters in pliers cut braided line that standard steel cannot
- Fillet knife and scissors cover basic processing needs
Trade-offs
- Six pieces means more to organize and carry
- Line spooler is less capable than bench-mounted versions
- Fillet knife requires sharpening and proper storage
Fishing fit
- Water
- Freshwater
- Saltwater
