Quick take
Nine-foot tapered fly leader in a 6-pack with pre-tied loop for quick connection to fly line.
This is a 9-foot clear nylon tapered leader in a 5X size with a 3.7 lb breaking strength, sold as a pack of six. A thick butt section tapers down to a fine tip that is hard for fish to see, and the pre-tied loop on the butt end lets you connect to a fly line quickly. It suits fly anglers fishing small flies for trout in fresh water, and it can also be used in salt water.
Best for
- Fly fishing with floating or sinking lines
- Anglers seeking low-visibility leaders
- Saltwater and freshwater fly casting
Skip if
- You tie your own leaders
- You need specialty leaders for specific techniques
Strengths
- Pre-tied loop connects quickly without knot tying
- High transparency copolymer reduces line detection by fish
- Tapered design transitions smoothly from fly line to tippet
Trade-offs

- 6-pack adds bulk if you fish multiple weights regularly
