Quick take
A 5.9-ounce ice fishing reel with a 5.2:1 gear ratio and sealed bearings for fighting fish through frozen water.
The Piscifun ICX II is a size 500 spinning reel made for ice fishing, with a graphite body and rotor and an aluminum spool. Its 5.2:1 gear ratio, five-plus-one bearing setup and anti-reverse suit finesse jigging through a hole. A folding handle and an extended stem make it easy to pack and to work with gloves on. At about 5.9 ounces, it pairs well with light ice rods.
Best for
- Ice fishing for panfish and walleye through winter
- Jigging at depth in cold-water conditions
- Anglers who want lightweight portability on the ice
Skip if
- You fish open water most of the season
- You prefer larger reels for big pike and musky
Strengths
