Quick take
A manual line spooling machine with adjustable handle and unwinding function for all reel types.
The Speed X is a line spooling station for loading spinning, baitcasting and spincast reels at home. Its unwinding function lets you wind extra line from an overfilled reel back onto the spool without removing the reel. The aluminum handle adjusts in length, and the black unit weighs 0.86 pounds.
Best for
- Spooling fresh line onto reels
- Rewinding excess line without manual hand-winding
- Multiple reel types (spinning, baitcaster, spincast)
Skip if
- You spool line infrequently
- You prefer hand-spooling line
Strengths
- Conical adapter fits line spools 10-25mm
- Adjustable aluminum handle stronger than plastic versions
- Unwinding function simplifies corrections
Trade-offs
- Requires table or vise mounting for operation
- Manual operation takes time for high-capacity reels
- Not motorized; spooling speed depends on hand speed
