Quick take

Compact tackle storage box with transparent body and adjustable dividers for small tackle.

The Plano 3455-00 Stowaway is a clear, flat utility box from the 3400 series, sized to slide into a tackle bag or tray. Six removable dividers let you set up anywhere from six to twelve compartments for hooks, jigs, beads or small hardware. A latching lid keeps things closed, and the transparent body makes it easy to see what is inside at a glance.

Best for

  • Organizing small hooks, weights, beads, and terminal tackle
  • Backpack or vest pocket storage for minimalist tackle setups
  • Keeping delicate items like spinners or soft plastics protected

Skip if

  • You need large capacity for multiple tackle boxes worth of gear
  • You primarily store bulky items like crankbaits and topwater lures

Strengths

  • Clear plastic lid and sides let you see contents without opening
  • Adjustable dividers customize compartment sizes to match your tackle
  • Lightweight and compact; fits easily in backpacks or tackle bags

Trade-offs

  • Small capacity fills quickly with just a few lure types
  • Latches are plastic and can crack with hard use
  • Compartments are shallow and not suitable for large hard baits
