Quick take

A waterproof tackle bag with a non-slip molded base for portable gear storage.

The Plano Z-Series 3600 is a soft tackle bag with a molded, non-slip base and a zipperless strap closure, so there are no zippers to fight with wet hands. It comes with two StowAway cases, quick-drain mesh side pockets and a shoulder strap. Five attachment points let you clip on extra gear, which suits boat and bank anglers who want an organized, carry-ready setup.

Best for

  • Organizing tackle for shore trips
  • Protecting gear in wet conditions
  • Anglers needing accessible tackle between water visits

Skip if

  • You need maximum tackle capacity; use a larger hard tackle box
  • You want rigid hard-shell protection

Strengths

  • Non-slip base prevents gear from shifting during transport
  • Waterproof construction protects lures and tackle from moisture
  • Portable lightweight design suits bank and boat fishing

Trade-offs

  • Smaller capacity than hard tackle boxes
  • Bag fabric may wear with heavy use and dragging
  • Limited organization for very small fasteners
