Quick take
A triangular floating landing net with a rubber-coated mesh and telescopic carbon fiber handle for kayak and boat fishing.
This triangular landing net has foam floats on two sides of the hoop, so it stays on the surface if it slips off a kayak or boat. The hoop measures 15.5 inches across, and the telescopic handle runs from about 28 to 34 inches and folds down for storage. A rubber-coated mesh keeps treble hooks from tangling, which helps when you are releasing bass or trout.
Best for
- Kayak fishing for access over the side
- Boat fishing with easy storage
- Catch-and-release practice with gentle mesh
Skip if
- You fish from shore with large fish
- You need a very large net
Strengths
- Float tubes keep the net from sinking if dropped
- Rubber-coated mesh protects treble hooks and lure finishes
- Carbon fiber handle remains light after folding and storing
Trade-offs
- Triangular shape is less efficient than circular nets
- Float tubes add weight compared to non-floating nets
- 15.5 in hoop limits size of fish that can be netted
Fishing fit
- Water
- Freshwater
- Saltwater
