Quick take
An ultra-strong 20 lb braided line made with Spectra fiber for exceptional sensitivity and thin diameter.
This PowerPro 20 lb braided line comes on a 100-yard moss green spool, with a 20 lb line test. Its Spectra fiber braid is round and smooth, with very little stretch, which makes it a practical option for anglers who want to try braid on a single reel.
Best for
- Applications where high strength in thin diameter is key
- Saltwater casting rigs where durability matters
- Professional anglers and tournament competitors
Skip if
- You prefer stretch and forgiveness in soft takes
- You want an invisible line for clear water
Strengths
- Spectra fiber is much stronger than monofilament at the same diameter
- No stretch allows direct feel of bottom and lures
- Color visibility aids in line control and detection
Trade-offs
- Braided line is highly visible to fish; requires fluorocarbon leader
- No stretch means abrupt hook sets can break line or snap rod tips
- Braided line is stiffer and harder to cast on spinning reels

- Freshwater
