Quick take
Thin, sensitive Spectra braided line with exceptional abrasion resistance and direct EZ Spool for spinning reels.
This 8 lb braided line is spun from Spectra fiber in a round, smooth profile with a thin 0.005 inch diameter. The Moss Green tint blends into the water, which suits anglers working around line-shy fish. It comes on a 300 yard spool, enough to fill a light spinning reel for finesse presentations.
Best for
- Light spinning setups where sensitivity matters and reel capacity is limited
- Finesse techniques where thin diameter maximizes distance and feel
- Saltwater flats where abrasion resistance prevents break-offs near rocks
Skip if
- You want a floater line for topwater presentations
- You prefer monofilament's forgiveness on knots and tangles
Strengths
- Spectra fiber provides unmatched abrasion resistance for structure fishing
- Round smooth braiding reduces drag through guides and improves feel
- 8lb test with reduced diameter maximizes reel capacity for longer casts
Trade-offs
- Braided line requires special knots and initial spooling setup
- Thin diameter is harder to see and demands lighted or colored sections
- Higher sensitivity can result in more false strikes from debris
