Quick take

A concentrated anise scent oil to add to live bait, dough baits or custom scent blends for stronger attraction.

Pro-Cure Pure Anise Oil comes in a 2 ounce bottle and is meant to add an anise note to fishing bait scents. Anglers add a few drops to make custom scent blends, since a little goes a long way. It is made for bait and brines, not for people.

Best for

Catfish and bottom fishing where scent drives strikes
Custom scent blending experiments
Adding potent smell to worms or dough baits

Skip if

You fish clear water where visibility drives strikes more than scent
You prefer single-ingredient baits with no additives

Strengths

Super concentrated formula means a few drops go a long way
Works mixed into any bait or brined during storage
Anise is a proven catfish and panfish attractant

Trade-offs

Potency requires careful dosing; too much can mask natural bait flavor
Oil-based so it may separate during storage
Not suitable for artificial lures where suspension is needed

Fishing fit

Techniques: Live bait
Bottom fishing
