Quick take

A 2 oz bait oil made from real shrimp, clams and fish with bite stimulants and UV flash for sturgeon and catfish.

Pro-Cure Sturgeon Frenzy is a 2-ounce bait oil made from whole sand shrimp, squid, clams, crawfish, smelt and shad, with concentrated fish oils, bite stimulants and anise oil. Anglers can marinate baits in it or inject it directly into soft baits. It suits sturgeon anglers and anyone scenting bait for freshwater bottom fishing.

Best for

Marinating cut bait in a small container before rigging for sturgeon fishing
Injecting into soft baits to increase scent dispersal and attraction
Chum slicks and bait clouds where powerful scent concentrations help

Skip if

You use live bait exclusively; scent oils are for dead or cut bait
You target species that respond to sight and sound better than scent

Strengths

Real whole bait ingredients provide natural scent that bottom feeders recognize instantly
Concentrated fish oils and bite stimulants trigger feeding response in sluggish fish
2 oz size is portable and goes far when used for marinating or injection

Trade-offs

Oily scent residue transfers to hands and equipment; requires washing after use
Scent oils work best in slower water where scent plumes can disperse widely
UV flash requires relatively clear water to be visible to fish

Fishing fit

Species: Carp

Techniques: Bottom fishing
