Quick take
Multi-jointed swimbaits in a range of sizes that mimic natural prey in saltwater and freshwater.
This is a five-piece set of multi-jointed hard swimbaits for anglers who want a jointed bait for bass, trout, pike, walleye, crappie and perch. The bodies are ABS with stainless steel rings and needle-point J hooks, so the set suits both freshwater and saltwater use. Anglers can vary the retrieve, from a steady pull to a faster reel speed when fish are active.
Best for
- Bass and pike in lakes and rivers
- Trout and crappie with light tackle
- Saltwater trolling for panfish-sized targets
Skip if
- You need a single color lure; these vary by size
- Heavy weed cover requires a more durable lure
Strengths
- Multi-joint design creates lifelike swimming action on a steady retrieve
- Jointed body flexes naturally as the lure moves through the water
- Stainless steel hardware resists corrosion in saltwater
Trade-offs
- Jointed bodies are less durable in dense weeds than solid swimbaits
- The variety of sizes means you get less of each pattern
- Jointed lures can snag on structure

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
