Quick take
A compact UV light with adjustable beam focus for charging glow-in-the-dark and UV-reactive lures during night fishing.
This is a compact UV flashlight for charging glow lures before a night session. It uses a single black UV-LED at 390-395 nm and runs on one AA battery, with a zoom mechanism to widen or narrow the beam. A strap with a carabiner makes it easy to clip to a vest or bag.
Best for
- Activating UV-reactive baits at night
- Charging glow-in-the-dark lures for extended glow
- Portable night fishing sessions
Skip if
- You fish mainly during daylight
- You need extended battery runtime without swapping batteries
Strengths
- Zoom mechanism adjusts beam width for different lures
- Compact size and strap fit in a tackle bag easily
- UV-LED is more powerful than older 3rd generation models
Trade-offs
- Requires AA battery, not included
- 3-hour runtime is short for extended night trips
- UV light is less effective on non-reactive lures
