Quick take

A 4-strand PE line with HS processing designed for low-stretch sensitivity and ice fishing.

This four-strand braided PE line from Prox is built for light panfish work such as wakasagi, with a red base and pitch markings that stay easy to spot on ice and in dome shelters. Its HS processing keeps the line from stretching, and it comes in several thread sizes for finesse presentations.

Best for

  • Ice fishing for small species on sensitive rigs
  • Wakasagi and smelt fishing
  • Detecting delicate bites under ice

Skip if

  • You need high visibility in clear water; try a bright mono
  • You fish saltwater regularly; PE corrodes without rinse

Strengths

  • Red and pitch marking pattern remains visible on dome boats and ice
  • Low stretch delivers sensitivity for small species
  • Smooth, water-repellent coating sheds ice

Trade-offs

  • 4-strand PE is thinner and more visible in water than mono
  • Requires frequent rinsing after saltwater use to prevent corrosion
