Quick take
Lifelike soft plastic paddle tail swimbaits with realistic scale detail and flash for multiple species.
This is a 3.14-inch paddle tail swimbait that comes as a six-piece set in a soft plastic body. The tail kicks as the bait is retrieved, which suits anglers working shad-style baits on a jig head or a weighted hook. It is aimed at bass, trout, walleye and crappie, so one pack covers a handful of common freshwater targets.
Best for
- Bass, trout and panfish on jigs or dropshot rigs
- Saltwater species like mackerel and stripers
- Mimicking natural baitfish in various water conditions
Skip if
- You fish only artificials and hate soft plastics
- You need weighted jigs; these are weightless or require a jig head
Strengths
- Realistic 3D eyes and scale patterns fool cautious fish
- Soft material allows multiple rigging options: jig, weighted hook, dropshot, Texas rig
- Flash foil in belly creates reflection that triggers bites
Trade-offs
- Soft plastic durability requires inspection after each fish
- Assorted colors limit control over presentation color
- Paddle tail can wear or tear with heavy use

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
