Quick take

A durable size 100 baitcasting reel with one-piece aluminum frame and continuous anti-reverse for smooth hooksets.

The Quantum Accurist in Size 100 is a right-hand baitcasting reel with a one-piece aluminum frame and a 7.0:1 gear ratio that pulls in 29 inches of line per turn. It carries 9 corrosion-resistant bearings, a continuous anti-reverse clutch and up to 18 pounds of drag. The spool holds 135 yards of 12-pound mono or 170 yards of 30-pound braid, which suits walleye, bass and catfish work.

Best for

  • Medium and heavy species like walleye and pike
  • Saltwater fishing where corrosion is a concern
  • Trolling and bottom-fishing with mono or braid

Skip if

  • You fish light line for finesse presentations

Strengths

  • One-piece aluminum frame resists twisting
  • Saltguard protection and 9 corrosion-resistant bearings
  • Roller bearing provides immediate anti-reverse on hookset

Trade-offs

  • Size 100 is not ideal for ultralight presentations
