Quick take

A durable low-profile baitcaster with saltguard coating and ACS 3.0 micro-adjust cast control.

The Quantum Energy S3 size 100 is a left-hand retrieve baitcasting reel built on a one-piece aluminum frame with a 7.0:1 gear ratio and 29 inches of line per turn. A ceramic carbon drag tops out at 18 pounds, and the flippin' switch lets you drop line without turning the handle for pitching and flipping. It holds 135 yards of 12-pound mono or 170 yards of 30-pound braid, which suits bass, walleye and catfish work.
