Quick take

A rechargeable lithium-powered electric fillet knife with 6 and 7.5 inch blades and an 80-minute runtime per charge.

This cordless electric fillet knife kit from Rapala runs on rechargeable lithium-ion batteries and gives about 80 minutes of cutting per charge. It ships with two PTFE-coated blades, 6 and 7.5 inches, plus a charging base and a hard EVA case. An LED work light and battery gauge sit in the handle, which suits anglers who clean a lot of fish at the cabin or the cleaning station.

Best for

  • Processing large catch or multiple fish after a successful day
  • Anglers with hand fatigue or arthritis who benefit from power assistance
  • Boat fishing where electricity for corded knives is unavailable

Strengths

  • Lithium battery maintains consistent speed and power throughout the runtime
  • Includes two batteries for extended filleting sessions without recharging
  • Two blade sizes cover small to large fish species

Trade-offs

  • Initial battery charge required before first use; not included pre-charged
  • Heavier and more complex than a manual fillet knife
