Quick take
A 4.375 in topwater lure that walks side-to-side, sized for larger saltwater predators.
This Blue Mullet 4.375-inch walking bait floats and works the surface in saltwater. It weighs 0.625 oz and has an internal rattle, giving a side-to-side walking action when you pump and reel.
Best for
- Casting at feeding schools in shallow saltwater flats
- Targeting stripers and offshore species around structure
- Early morning and evening topwater sessions
Skip if
- You fish dense seaweed or heavy wood; it snags easily
- You need a lure that floats completely still
Strengths
- Walk-the-dog motion disturbs the surface and draws strikes from aggressive fish
- Weighted tail design keeps the nose up during retrieve
- VMC hooks penetrate quickly on hard strikes
Trade-offs
