Quick take
A suspending jerkbait with aggressive darting action and an integrated rattle that triggers reaction strikes from bass, walleye and pike.
The Glass Ghost X-Rap 08 is a suspending jerkbait about 3 1/8 inches long and 1/4 oz. It runs 3 to 5 feet down and has a rattle, which suits twitch-and-pause retrieves when fish hold in shallow to mid-depth water. A natural, translucent finish gives anglers a subtle option for clear conditions.
Best for
- Twitch-and-pause retrieves in moderate depths
- Bass and walleye fishing in cooler months
- Anglers who prefer reaction-strike lures
Skip if
- You need a floater for shallow-water topwater work
- You fish in dense weeds where the trebles will snag
Strengths
- Hard-cutting, aggressive darting action provokes strikes
- Integrates a long-casting system for distance
- Suspends to keep the lure in the strike zone on pauses
Trade-offs
- The treble hooks snag in weeds and heavy cover
- Suspending action makes it less suitable for open water
- Requires an experienced hand to work the retrieve rhythm

About this type
