Quick take
Compact topwater frog with young frog profile and walk-the-dog action for bass in ponds and shallow weeds.
The Rebel Frog-R is a floating topwater lure shaped and colored like a young frog, in the Leopard Frog pattern. At 2 3/8 inches and 5/16 ounce with a #6 treble hook, it has a smaller profile suited to pond bass. A quick downward twitch of the rod tip makes it sashay side to side in a walk-the-dog rhythm.
Best for
- Weed and grassbed edges
- Pond bass in evening
- Anglers who practice walking the dog
Skip if
- You fish open water without structure
- You prefer larger frog profiles
Strengths
- Realistic young frog profile matches natural prey
- Compact size lands in tight spaces without excessive splash
- Walk-the-dog motion triggers reactive strikes
Trade-offs

- Requires rhythmic rod work to execute walk-the-dog effectively

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
