Quick take
A 12-pack of pheasant tail nymph flies with bead heads in sizes 12-18 on durable Mustad Signature hooks for trout streams.
This natural-colored bead head Pheasant Tail nymph is tied on a size 16 hook, a smaller pattern for trout and panfish. Its flashback wingcase and tail fibers suit a dropper below a dry fly, and the bead adds weight so it sinks through the drift.

- Nymph fishing below the surface on trout streams
- Year-round trout fishing in cold to moderate temperatures
- Match-the-hatch presentations with size variation
Skip if

Strengths

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
