Quick take
Small tungsten-bead nymphs tied on Mustad signature hooks for fishing productive midge hatches in trout streams.
This Rainbow Warrior midge nymph is tied on a size 22 hook with a tungsten bead, a small-fly pattern for trout water. The bead carries it down quickly, so it reaches fish holding low without added weight. Its rainbow color and Mustad Signature hook suit anglers building a nymph rig for trout.
Best for
- Trout feeding on midge emergences in spring and fall
- Clear streams where small flies imitate natural insects
- Anglers who can cast size #22 flies accurately
Skip if
- You fish large rivers where size #16 is too small
- You cannot tie or handle very small flies
Strengths
- Tungsten bead gets the fly to the feeding lane quickly
- Mustad signature hooks are strong and reliable
- Rainbow color matches many natural midge pupae
Trade-offs

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
