Quick take
8-strand braided line with zero stretch and low memory, designed for faster cutting through water and long-distance casting.
Best for
- Fishing with topwater lures where instant hooksets matter
- Saltwater fishing where abrasion resistance is critical
- Anglers who need thin line diameter with high strength
Skip if
- You prefer monofilament for stretchy shock absorption on light bites
- You fish heavy weeds where braided line visibility spooks fish
Strengths
- Zero stretch provides instant power transfer for positive hooksets
- 8-strand construction provides superior abrasion resistance to rocks and shells
- Thin diameter increases line capacity on reels while maintaining strength
Trade-offs
- Bright colors increase visibility in clear water and may spook cautious fish
- Braided line is louder and more visible to fish than monofilament or fluorocarbon
- Knots require special technique to tie and maintain full strength
