Quick take
Medium-stiff fluorocarbon tippet for fly fishing, nearly invisible underwater and abrasion resistant.
This is a medium-stiff, clear fluorocarbon tippet from RIO in the 16 lb size. The stiffness helps turn over larger flies, and the material sinks, which suits nymph and small streamer rigs. It works for steelhead, salmon, trout and bass on the fly rod.
Best for
- Clear water trout and salmon fishing
- Fly fishing where bait fish imitation is key
Skip if
- You prefer monofilament for simplicity
- You fish heavily weeded areas
Strengths
- 100% fluorocarbon is nearly invisible in water
