Quick take
A weight forward fly line designed for trout, with a long head and back taper for control and stability at range.
The RIO Premier Gold WF5F is a floating, weight-forward fly line in a Moss/Gold finish, made for trout fishing. Its long head and back taper are meant to give casters line control at range and when mending, while the front taper handles flies from size 22 to size 2. Welded loops at both ends make rigging to leader and backing quick.
Best for
- Trout in streams and rivers
- Casting dry flies and small nymphs
Skip if
- You need a sink-tip line for deep water
