Quick take
A 9-foot 12-pound knotless tapered leader in copolymer nylon for turning over bass flies and poppers.
This is a knotless, medium-stiff tapered nylon leader, 9 feet long and sold as a three-pack, made for fly anglers casting to bass. The strong butt section and taper help turn over larger flies such as poppers and weighted streamers, even in a breeze. This version tests at 12 pounds.
Best for
- Bass fly fishing in freshwater ponds and lakes
- Fly casting that needs reliable turnover on larger flies
- Building rigged fly setups with minimal knots
Skip if
- You fish for trout and panfish needing lighter leaders
Strengths
- Medium-stiff taper turns over large bass flies reliably
- Knotless construction means fewer weak points
- Copolymer material has good abrasion resistance
