Quick take

A 2-pack of UV-coated buoys with lead-free weights for marking fishing spots on lakes and rivers.

This is a two-pack of orange spot-marker buoys, each with 75 feet of nylon string and a 6.5 ounce nickel-plated steel weight. The weight is lead-free and drops quickly to the bottom, so you can mark a productive hole, brush pile or drop-off and find it again. A UV coating helps the color resist sun fade, and the snap-together design keeps the set simple to store.

Best for

  • Marking productive holes in deeper water
  • Anchoring in wind and waves
  • Quick location recovery on return trips

Skip if

  • You need a fixed bottom anchor
  • You fish mostly shallow shore areas

Strengths

  • UV coating resists sun damage over seasons
  • Heavy 6.5 oz weight drops fast in current
  • Two-pack extends coverage across fishing area

Trade-offs

  • 75 ft string limits deepwater use
  • Nylon string frays with extended use
  • Bright colors may spook shallow-water fish

  • Freshwater
  • Saltwater
