Quick take
Hand-made spinner with solid brass blade and tandem hook, designed for trout and pike in slow water.
This is a five-pack of 1/8 oz inline spinners with a hand-tied fly dressing over a brass body and blade. A trailing tandem hook sits behind the main hook. The light weight suits small trout water, and the set also covers bass, pike and steelhead outings.
Best for
- Slow-moving streams and small rivers
- Trout in current using light line
- Pike and musky in clear water
Skip if
- You need to cast long distances in wind
- You fish heavy cover with weeds or wood
Strengths
- Hand-tied fly offers natural appearance versus molded plastic
- Mid-cup blade design spins instantly even in slow current
- Tandem hook improves hook sets and reduces missed fish
Trade-offs
- At 1/8 oz casting on heavy line is difficult
- In-line design can twist lightweight monofilament

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
