Quick take
8-strand braided line with zero stretch and low memory for sensitive bite detection.
This is an eight-strand braided line made of polyethylene in a multicolor pattern, spooled here in the 100 lb strength with 1093 yards on the spool. Braid has almost no stretch, so bites come through clearly, and the thin diameter lets a reel hold a lot of line. It suits anglers who want a heavy-strength braid for saltwater or freshwater and like a colored line that is easy to see on the water.
Best for
- Saltwater fishing in rough terrain
- Freshwater casting around rocks and vegetation
- Anglers who prefer thinner-diameter line
Skip if
- You need to avoid visible line
- You fish heavily weeded areas where line visibility matters less
Strengths
- Zero stretch provides immediate bite detection
- Advanced coating resists fading and UV damage
- Smooth surface enables longer, more accurate casts
Trade-offs
- Braided line is more visible than monofilament
- Smaller diameter can slide through rod guides without backup
- Requires special care when handling at the knot
Fishing fit
- Water
- Freshwater
- Saltwater
