Quick take
A floor-standing wood rack that holds 24 fishing rod and reel combos with padded clips to protect rod finishes.
This floor-standing round rack holds up to 24 rods and reels around a central post, in a dark wood finish with a marine-grade varnish coat. Six of its clips use a dual design that takes two freshwater rods or one saltwater rod up to 1.25 inches in diameter. It stands 33 inches tall on a weighted base and goes together without tools, which suits a garage, basement or boat storage area.
Best for
- Garage or basement rod storage for serious anglers
- Organizing saltwater and freshwater rods separately
- Displaying rod and reel combos in a fishing room or lodge
Skip if
- You have fewer than 4 rods
- You fish from a boat and need portable storage
Strengths
- Dual-technology clips hold either 2 freshwater rods or 1 saltwater rod up to 1.25 in diameter in the same clip
- Weighted base plate provides stability for tall racks
- Marine-grade varnish resists water damage in damp garages
Trade-offs
- Solid wood makes the rack heavy and difficult to reposition
- Takes up significant floor space in a garage
- Requires stable horizontal floor to prevent tipping
