Quick take
Twenty copper fishing bells with spring clips for night and day bite detection, alert you when a fish takes the bait.
This set holds 20 bronze-colored copper bells, each 2.5 inches long, with a spring clip that fastens to the tip of a rod. When a fish bites and the rod tip moves, the bell rings, which helps anglers fishing at night or while watching several rods. The clip-on design suits freshwater and saltwater setups for species such as walleye, redfish, snook and trout.
Best for
- Catfish and carp night fishing from banks and piers
- Walleye fishing in rivers where visual cues are limited
- Multi-rod setups where you want to hear bites on every rod
Skip if
- Tournament fishing where electronic devices are required
- Very noisy environments where bell sounds are masked
Strengths
- Copper ring produces a sharp clear tone even in wind
- Spring clips attach and detach quickly for switching rods
- Twenty bells cover an entire night of catfish fishing
Trade-offs
- Copper bells can dent or crack if dropped on hard surfaces
- Spring clip grip can loosen on wet rods
- Bronze color can leave residue on your hands
