Quick take
Classic copper bells with spring clips that alert you to bites without constant rod watching.
This is a set of copper bells that each attach to a rod tip with a spring steel clip. When a fish strikes, the bell rings, which helps bank anglers watching several rods or fishing after dark. The 2.5-inch bells work in fresh or salt water and suit catfish, carp and walleye setups.
Best for
- Catfish and carp fishing sessions lasting several hours
- Night fishing where vision is limited
- Multiple rods fishing simultaneously on the bank
Skip if
- You actively fish and are always watching your rod
- You fish in high wind conditions
Strengths
- Copper construction withstands freshwater and saltwater use
- Loud clear bell sound carries from rod tip to waiting angler
- Spring steel clip attaches securely without damaging rod
Trade-offs
- Copper requires periodic polishing to maintain shine
- Bell sound can be muted by heavy rain on shelter
- 12-pack is excessive for most single-rod anglers

- Water
- Freshwater
- Saltwater
