Quick take
A telescopic landing net with rubber-coated mesh bottom that protects fish slime coating during catch-and-release.
This SANLIKE landing net pairs an aluminum telescoping handle with a rubber-coated nylon mesh bag and a flat bottom, a setup aimed at anglers who release their catch. It folds down for carrying and includes a belt clip for hanging it from a belt or PFD. It suits bank fishing, wading and kayak or boat outings for freshwater fish.
Best for
- Bank and kayak fishing where space is limited
- Catch-and-release fishing for delicate species
- Both freshwater and saltwater applications
Skip if
- You need maximum depth for large fish in deep water
- You fish exclusively from a boat with fixed rod holders
Strengths
- Rubber coating on mesh protects fish's natural protective slime
- Flat bottom reduces thrashing and injury when landing fish
- One-click folding for compact storage and belt clip attachment
Trade-offs
- Rubber-coated mesh is heavier than bare nylon mesh
- Telescopic handle is less rigid than fixed one-piece nets
- Smaller net size limits depth for very large fish
