Quick take
A lightweight fiberglass gaff with telescoping design and non-slip grip for landing saltwater fish.
A telescopic fishing gaff from SANLIKE with a round-bend stainless steel hook and a fiberglass pole that floats if it drops in the water. The handle has a non-slip EVA foam grip, and a lanyard helps keep it from going overboard. It suits anglers who need to land larger fish from a boat, pier or shore and want a gaff that collapses for carrying.
Best for
- Saltwater fishing from boats or piers where you land large fish
- Situations requiring a portable gaff that breaks down for transport
- Anglers who fish alone and need one-handed gaff operation
Skip if
- You primarily shore fish and rarely gaff fish
- You need maximum reach; telescoping design is shorter when collapsed
Strengths
- Fiberglass construction floats if dropped overboard
- Telescoping design breaks down small for storage and transport
- Sharpened stainless steel hook is corrosion-resistant
Trade-offs
- Fiberglass is less rigid than aluminum when fully extended
- Telescoping joints can loosen slightly with repeated use
- Non-slip grip can become slippery if wet with saltwater and not rinsed
Fishing fit
- Water
- Saltwater
