Quick take
A foldable landing net with a telescopic pole that extends to 51 inches with rubber-coated mesh that won't tangle hooks or damage fish.
A telescoping landing net with an aluminum frame and a rubber-coated, knotless mesh that keeps hooks from tangling. The pole collapses to about 17 inches for a tackle bag or kayak hatch and extends to roughly 51 inches when a fish is at the boat or bank. An EVA handle gives a grippy hold, and a rotary lock sets the length you want. It suits anglers after bass, walleye, trout or catfish in fresh or salt water.
Best for
- Bank and pier fishing for salmon, walleye, and catfish
- Kayak fishing where compact storage is necessary
- Situations where you need to net fish from water level without a boat
Skip if
- You fish from a boat with fixed net storage
- You only fish for small panfish where a 17-inch loop is oversized
Strengths
- Retracts to 17 inches for compact storage and transport
- Knotless rubber-coated mesh prevents hooks from snagging or fish from escaping
- Lightweight aluminum and carbon fiber construction for easy one-handed operation
Trade-offs
- The 51-inch reach is limited for some bank situations with high banks
- Telescopic locks can work loose from vibration in rough handling
- Rubber-coated mesh is slower to dry and can mildew if stored wet
