Quick take
A 6-inch topwater lure sculpted after a duckling with dual spinning tails and feather-covered hooks that create splash and bubble trails.
Best for
- Fishing for bass in weedy areas and around lily pads
- Daytime topwater presentations in shallow water
- Anglers who want multiple presentation options with different tie points
Skip if
- You fish clear water where a realistic lure profile is less important
- You need a silent topwater presentation for pressured fish
Strengths
- 3D scan design creates a realistic profile that draws strikes from distance
- Dual smash tails and spinning feet create visible surface disturbance
- Removable lower hook lets you fish tighter cover by reducing the profile
Trade-offs
- The two trebles with feathers add bulk and snag risk in thick vegetation
- Feather-covered hooks shed and fray after catches or abrasion
- The large size and action make it unsuitable for finesse presentations

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
