Quick take
Downrigger release clip with adjustable tension that grips braided line, allowing line-control fishing at depth.
The Scotty Power Grip Plus Stacker is a downrigger line release with a 60-inch leader, built to hold braided line between soft pads. Its adjustable jaws let you set how much tension it takes to trip, and an adjustment clip can double the holding power when needed. The stacker design lets you run more than one rod from a single downrigger, and its streamlined shape is meant to stay clear of weeds and tangles.
