Quick take

Tube-style rod holder with bottom pivot, holds multiple rod sizes, tilts for rod storage when traveling.

The Scotty 479 Rocket Launcher is a tube-style rod holder in black fibre-reinforced nylon with a 1.7 inch bore. It swivels all the way around and tilts up and down, so a rod can sit upright for the ride and drop to angle once you are fishing. It ships without a mount, which lets you pair it with whichever deck or side mount suits your boat or kayak.

Best for

Salmon, trout, and medium fish in boats and small vessels
Mounting to deck or gunwale via a separate Scotty mount
