Quick take
Japanese braided line with 5-color markers every 10 meters for precise distance control in light jigging.
This Seaguar PE X8 in size 0.6 is a braided line on a 150 m spool, with a 14 lb breaking strength. Orange, blue, red, green and purple markings every 10 m make it easy to read how much line is out. Built from eight braids of polyethylene fiber, it suits anglers who want a thin, low-stretch line for finesse and sonar fishing.
Best for
- Saltwater jigging and light casting to small species
- Distance-marked fishing where you estimate depth and casting range
- Japanese-style finesse presentations
Skip if
- You fish general casting; color marks add no value
- You prefer monofilament or solid-colored lines
Strengths
- 5-color pattern lets you estimate exact casting distance and jigging depth
- 14 lb test steps up from very light Japanese lines to handle medium-size fish
Trade-offs
- Japanese size notation (0.6) is not intuitive to Western anglers
- 14 lb is modest for any heavy-action fishing
- 150m is a relatively short spool for frequent use
Fishing fit
- Water
- Freshwater
- Saltwater
