Quick take
This is the 40 lb test size of Seaguar's STS Salmon, a clear fluorocarbon leader sold on a 100-yard spool. Fluorocarbon bends light differently than mono, so it is harder for fish to see, and it sinks quickly to reach the strike zone. It suits anglers tying a heavier leader for salmon, steelhead or trout, freshwater or otherwise.
