Quick take

A 5-arm stainless steel wire leader rig with nylon coating rated 90 lb main and 55 lb per arm for pike, salmon and saltwater species.

This is a pack of ten five-arm bottom rigs built on nylon-coated, seven-strand stainless steel wire, with 2.7-inch arms and a snap at the end. The wire leader keeps the hooks away from the main line, which suits toothy fish like pike and muskie. It also works for bass, shad, herring and snapper in lakes, rivers and saltwater.

Best for

  • Pike and salmon fishing in lakes and rivers
  • Saltwater snapper and large fish where teeth cut line
  • Anglers who want to fish multiple small baits or lures

Skip if

  • You fish single lure presentations
  • You prefer lighter monofilament leaders

Strengths

  • 5 arms allow multiple presentation options on one rig
  • Nylon coating protects leader from sharp teeth
  • Stainless steel resists rust in saltwater

Trade-offs

  • Wire leader is visible to fish and reduces strikes
  • 5-arm rig is complex and harder to cast accurately
  • 90 lb main leader is heavy for delicate presentations
