Quick take
A laminated-bamboo fly net with a clear rubber mesh and magnetic release lanyard, sized for trout in rivers and streams.
Best for
- Technical fly fishing for wild trout
- Stream anglers who prefer traditional materials
- Catch-and-release fishing
Skip if
- You fish for large pike or saltwater species
- You want a lightweight carbon-fiber net
Strengths
- Clear rubber mesh does not spook trout
- Bamboo frame and wooden handle are traditional and attractive
- Magnetic release lanyard keeps your net attached and hands free
Trade-offs
- Bamboo and wood require care and can rot if wet-stored
- Small mesh holes make the net harder to get fish in and out
- 100 in total length with spring-cord is unwieldy in brush
