Quick take
A soft neoprene cover that protects fly reels from dust and damage whether mounted on the rod or stored separately.
This black neoprene pouch is sized for 7/8 weight fly reels and keeps a reel covered when it is off the rod. The soft material stretches to slip on and off, and a hook-and-loop closure holds it in place. It is a light, simple way to carry a fly reel from the truck to the water.
Best for
- Protecting fly reels during travel and storage
- Quick access to reels on or off the rod
- Keeping reels safe in a tackle bag
Skip if
- You need long-term weatherproof storage with hard protection
- You fish in heavy rain where you need rigid case protection
Strengths

- Stretchy material accommodates slight size variations in 7/8 weight reels
- Can be installed with reel on or off the rod
Trade-offs

- Does not fully block water in heavy rain or submersion
