Quick take

A monofilament line with low memory and water-absorption blockers designed to stay flexible in freezing conditions.

Best for

  • Ice fishing for panfish and walleye on small spools
  • Anglers who prioritize softness and flexibility in cold
  • Nighttime or low-light ice fishing with fluorescent green option

Skip if

  • You prefer braid for ice fishing where visibility is key
  • You fish saltwater or need maximum abrasion resistance

Strengths

  • Special additives prevent icing and keep the line soft in sub-zero temperatures
  • Low memory means less coiling and tangles when reeled in
  • Fluorescent green option gives exceptional visibility above the ice

Trade-offs

  • Monofilament is weaker than braided line of the same diameter
  • Green color is highly visible to fish underwater
  • Water-absorption additives degrade over years of storage
