Quick take
Assortment of offset circle hooks in six sizes with black nickel finish, sized for everything from panfish to catfish and saltwater species.
This is a 180-piece assortment of offset octopus circle hooks in high carbon steel with a black nickel finish, packed in a reusable box. It spans six hook sizes from 1 up to 5/0, so one kit covers small baits for bass and bigger cut bait or live bait for catfish. The circle shape suits anglers who want fish hooked in the corner of the mouth and released unharmed, in fresh or salt water.
Best for
- Live bait and cut bait rigging
- Saltwater catfish and bottom fishing
- Reducing deep hooking of catch-and-release fish
Skip if
- You prefer J-hooks for immediate penetration
- You fish exclusively in freshwater for small panfish
Strengths
- Six sizes in one pack cover a wide range of baits and species
- Black nickel resists corrosion in saltwater
- Offset design aids hooking when a fish turns with the bait
Trade-offs
- Circle hook design requires a firm hookset
- Black nickel finish rusts quickly if stored wet
- Larger sizes (4/0 and 5/0) unsuitable for small baits
