Quick take
A 10-pack of saltwater rigs with real fish skin, glow beads and gold hooks.
This is a pack of ten pre-tied bait rigs in a size 8 hook, built with feather and fish-skin trim, glow beads and swivels. It suits saltwater anglers who want a ready-made rig for collecting baitfish such as mackerel, herring and smelt. Each rig comes tied with spear-point hooks, so there is no knot-tying before the first cast from a pier or the surf.
Best for
- Saltwater surf fishing for small to medium fish
- Night fishing where glow features attract attention
- Anglers targeting mackerel, herring and small jacks
Skip if
- You need heavy-duty rigs for large game fish
- You prefer to tie your own rigs and choose components
Strengths
- Real fish skin coating makes rigs more attractive than bare hooks
- Glow-in-dark beads work in low light and night fishing conditions
- Rolling swivels reduce line twist during casting and retrieve
Trade-offs
- Real fish skin coating deteriorates with use and UV exposure
- Small hooks and 16 to 20 lb line limits these rigs to smaller saltwater species
